It is one of the few truly absolute-beachfront spots on the southern Gold Coast, and it photographs like a dream - but a ceremony on the lawn means open sky, bright reflected light off the water and sand, and a sea breeze that rarely takes the day off. We build your hair and makeup specifically for that.
We are Tina and Kristen, a sister duo who are both fully trained in hair AND makeup. We come to you, so there is no rushing across town with a freshly set blow-wave in an open car. Because Pacific Beach does not have a dedicated bridal suite, we set up wherever you are getting ready - a Palm Beach holiday apartment, an Airbnb a few streets back, or a family home nearby - and bring the calm, sunlit morning to you.
Our look is soft, natural and sun-kissed rather than heavy or done-up. We want you to look like the best, most relaxed version of yourself in the salt air, and we want that to hold from your ceremony on the lawn right through canapes on the balcony as the light drops over the water.
What we know about getting ready for Pacific Beach
Pacific Beach Function Centre is a surf-club venue without a separate bridal room, so getting ready happens off-site. Palm Beach is full of holiday apartments and Airbnbs within a few minutes of the sand, which keeps everything close and unhurried. We bring our own chair, lighting and full kit and set up by the best natural window we can find - all you need is a power point and a bit of bench space.
This is open beachfront, so you are dealing with strong, bright light bouncing off white sand and water - it can wash out a soft application and exaggerate anything heavy. We build in a touch more depth and definition than an indoor venue needs so your features still read beautifully in photos out on the lawn, then keep skin looking fresh and natural rather than flat. The covered balcony is kinder, softer light for the reception once the sun drops.

We plan the morning backwards from your ceremony time so you are finished with breathing room, never rushed onto the sand.
