QT Gold Coast sits a barefoot stroll from the sand in the heart of Surfers Paradise, all playful retro colour, light-filled interiors and floor-to-ceiling glass. It's a venue built for a relaxed, sun-soaked celebration, and the getting-ready hours up in your suite are where that feeling starts. We're Tina and Kristen, a sister duo who travels to you, so your morning unfolds in your own room with the beach and river light pouring in around you.
We know how a hotel wedding morning actually runs here, from lift access and vendors coming and going to the way the bright window light at QT can wash out a face if your makeup isn't built for it. We work to keep skin looking like skin, with definition that reads beautifully under both that big natural light and the warmer glow of the QT Ballroom later on. Hair is shaped with internal support rather than heavy product, so a soft wave or a structured updo still looks fresh when you walk out to The Green for your ceremony.
Both of us are professionally trained in hair and makeup, so you're never handed off to an assistant. Depending on your party we either split the room between us or work side by side as a team of two, keeping the morning calm, on schedule and unhurried right up to your final touch-ups before you head down.
What we know about getting ready at QT Gold Coast
Most brides get ready in their QT suite or the hotel's bridal ready room. The suites are comfortable but compact, so we set up near the largest window and keep the space tidy and calm rather than crowding it with extra crew. If your party is large, the ready room gives us more bench and mirror space to work two of us at once.
QT's big windows flood the rooms with bright, direct coastal light, which is gorgeous but unforgiving on flat or under-built makeup. We build the makeup to that natural light first, then check it against the warmer ballroom and evening tones, so you photograph beautifully in your suite, out on The Green and through the reception.
Hotel mornings live and die by the lift and the schedule. With photographers, stylists and florals all arriving to the same floor, we build in buffer and lock your start time to your ceremony, so hair and makeup is finished with calm time to spare before you need to be downstairs.

For a midday ceremony we usually arrive around 7:30am. The exact start time depends on your party size and ceremony time, and because QT is a hotel we build in extra buffer for lift access and other vendors arriving to your floor. We confirm a precise run sheet with you before the day.

Yes. We're a fully mobile sister duo and come to you, so you get ready in your own QT suite or the bridal ready room. Travel to QT Gold Coast and across Surfers Paradise is included, with no need to leave the hotel before your ceremony.
