We are Tina and Kristen, a sister duo who are both fully trained in hair and makeup, and we come to you. That means no early drive up the range with your dress on a hanger and your bridesmaids half-ready in the car. We set up right where you are staying on the estate, so your morning stays calm, the light stays soft, and you get to enjoy the rainforest quiet instead of rushing through it.
Austinvilla's hinterland setting brings real warmth and humidity, and the day moves from the green of the open grounds to the softer, chandelier-lit Homestead for the reception. We build every look to hold through all of it, from the ceremony to photos in the open air and a long evening of celebrating, so you still look like you at the last dance.
What we know about getting ready here
Because you can stay on the estate the night before, most brides get ready right in their accommodation rather than racing up the range that morning. It gives us room to set up a proper station, spread out, and keep the whole bridal party moving in one calm spot, with the rainforest right outside the window instead of a hotel car park.
The valley sits below the surrounding ridgelines, so morning light comes in soft and a little green-tinged from all the rainforest. We read that and adjust, adding a touch more warmth and definition so your makeup reads beautifully both in the shade of the trees and out on the open grounds for photos, not just under the indoor lights.
It is a relaxed, spread-out estate, with a fair walk between the accommodation, the ceremony spaces and the Homestead. We build a little buffer into the run sheet for that movement and for the hinterland humidity, so you are finished, set and photo-ready well before you need to walk anywhere.

For a mid-afternoon ceremony we usually arrive around 8:30am and start by 9. Austinvilla is a spread-out estate with a bit of distance between the accommodation, ceremony and Homestead, plus hinterland humidity to allow for, so we build in a comfortable buffer to make sure you're finished and set well before you need to move. Once we know your ceremony time and party size we'll send a tailored run sheet.
Do you travel to Austinvilla Estate for wedding hair and makeup? +
Yes, we're a fully mobile hair and makeup duo and we come to you. We'll drive up Austinville Road and set up right in your estate accommodation, so you can get ready on-site without leaving the property. Travel to Austinvilla is included in your quote.
Can you do my whole bridal party at Austinvilla? +
Absolutely. Because there are two of us, both trained in hair and makeup, we can work as a team to get a full bridal party ready in good time, or one of us can come for a smaller group. Just let us know how many are having hair, makeup or both and we'll plan the morning around it.
Will my makeup last through a hinterland wedding day? +
That's exactly what we plan for. The valley setting is warm and humid and the day runs long, from an outdoor ceremony and photos through to the reception in the Homestead. We use long-wearing, photo-friendly products and proper prep so your look holds from the first photo to the last dance, and we'll talk you through touch-ups for the evening.
