Tucked into the coastal village of Casuarina, just back from the Tweed Coast beaches, Osteria is an Italian-inspired garden restaurant where weddings spill out across leafy courtyards, long banquet tables and warm, relaxed hospitality. It's intimate, unfussy and full of character — exactly the kind of setting we love to style for, where the look is soft and natural rather than overdone.
We're Tina and Kristen, a sister duo who both trained in hair and makeup, and we come to you. Rather than a salon trip before your Osteria wedding, we arrive at your Casuarina or Kingscliff accommodation and set up wherever the morning light is best, so the start of the day stays calm and close to where everything is happening.
Casuarina sits right on the coast, so the light is bright and the air is salty and humid. We build your hair and makeup for those conditions — skin-led, sun-kissed and long-wearing — so you look effortless up close and polished in every photo, from the courtyard to the last toast under the festoon lights.
What we know about getting ready at Osteria
Osteria is your ceremony-and-celebration home rather than a getting-ready suite, so most couples prepare at a beach house or apartment around Casuarina, Salt Village or Kingscliff. That suits us perfectly — we're fully mobile and bring everything, so a bench, a table and good natural light are all we need, and staying close means an unhurried morning with no driving.
This is bright, coastal light just back from the beach. It's beautiful but honest, so we set up by the best window and build your makeup to read softly in person and hold up in the open courtyard, where so many of Osteria's photos are taken.
Tweed Coast days run warm and humid, and Osteria's relaxed, long-lunch feel means the celebration unfolds slowly. We plan your morning backwards from the ceremony, build a humidity-proof finish, and leave a comfortable buffer so you're ready early and can simply enjoy the start of the day.

What time should hair and makeup start for an Osteria wedding? +
It depends on your ceremony time and party size, but for an afternoon ceremony at Osteria we usually arrive mid-morning, around 9am. We always work backwards from your ceremony and add a buffer so you're ready early and relaxed, not rushed.
Do you travel to Osteria at Casuarina for wedding hair and makeup? +
Yes. We're a fully mobile sister duo and Osteria is right in our home patch on the Tweed Coast. Travel is included, and we come to your accommodation around Casuarina or Kingscliff so there's no salon trip on the morning of your wedding.
Can you do my whole bridal party at Osteria? +
Absolutely. We look after anything from a bride on her own to a full bridal party plus mums. For larger groups both of us come, so everyone is finished comfortably before your ceremony with no last-minute rush.
Will my wedding makeup last in the Tweed Coast heat and humidity? +
Yes. Casuarina is right on the coast, so we build your look specifically for salt air, breeze and humidity using long-wear, photo-friendly products and a setting routine made for coastal days. You'll look fresh from prep through to the last dance.
