We build your hair and makeup to glow in it, never to fight it.
As a mobile sister duo, we come to you. Both of us are professionally trained in hair AND makeup, so we arrive together as a team of two, set up in your on-site accommodation, and keep the whole morning calm and unhurried. No driving up the range with your veil in the back seat, no squeezing into a salon before sunrise - just you, your people, coffee in hand, and the hinterland waking up around you.
Our style is natural, soft and sun-kissed - the kind of look that feels like you, only more luminous. We make sure your skin reads beautifully against Ardeena's greens and that ocean-blue horizon, and that everything holds through a long hinterland day, from the first-look photos to the last dance under the festoon lights.
What we know about getting ready at Ardeena
Ardeena has on-site accommodation, so most couples prepare right there on the property rather than travelling in on the morning. It means we can set up in your own space, spread out our kit, and you stay close to the ceremony all morning. We always ask for a spot near a window so we're working in natural daylight, with a powerpoint nearby for tools.
Up near the peak of Mt Carool the light is open and generous - soft and warm early, then bright and clear with that ocean horizon behind you. It's flattering, photographable light, but it's also honest light, so we build skin and eyes that look beautiful in person and on camera. What time should hair and makeup start for an Ardeena wedding? +
For a mid-afternoon ceremony we usually arrive around 8am. Ardeena sits up near the peak of Mt Carool and there's plenty to set up on a blank-canvas property, so we build in a relaxed buffer - finishing the bride with time to take photos and step into your dress before guests arrive. Once we know your ceremony time and party size we'll send you an exact run sheet.
Do you travel to Ardeena at Carool? +
Yes - we're a fully mobile team and Ardeena is right in our home patch. We come to you and set up in your on-site accommodation, so there's no travelling up the range on the morning. We cover the whole Tweed Coast, Gold Coast and Byron Bay, and Carool is an easy, familiar trip for us.
Can you do hair and makeup for my whole bridal party at Ardeena? +
Absolutely. Because both of us are trained in hair and makeup, we arrive as a team of two and work through your party efficiently - from just the bride to a full bridal party plus mums. Ardeena's on-site accommodation gives us room to set up and keep everyone relaxed and on schedule.
Will my makeup last through a whole day at Ardeena? +
Yes. The Carool hinterland can be warm and bright up on the ridge, so we prep your skin properly and use long-wearing, photo-friendly products built to hold from your first-look photos through to dancing under the festoon lights. We also leave you touch-up tips so you stay fresh all day and night.
