The EarthHouse sits high above the Corndale Valley, a rammed-earth retreat wrapped in 110 acres of farmland with 180-degree views across the Nightcap Ranges. It is one of those rare Byron hinterland properties where the light does half the work for you, soft and golden through the wide verandahs in the morning, warm and unhurried by the time you walk to the fig tree. We love getting ready here, and we think you will too.
We are Tina and Kristen, sisters who trained in both hair and makeup, and we come to you. There is no early drive to a salon and no rushing back. We arrive at your boutique room on the property, set up by the window where the valley light is best, and shape the morning around you so it feels calm rather than chaotic. You stay put, coffee in hand, while we work through the bridal party at an easy pace.
Our look is natural, soft and sun-kissed, the kind of makeup and hair that suits Byron and suits a long day outdoors. We build it to last from your first photos under the fig tree right through to the last dance on the verandah, so you look like yourself the whole way through, just polished and glowing.

The boutique rooms open onto the Corndale Valley with soft, even morning light pouring through. We set up by the window so we can see true colour and depth, which is exactly what natural, sun-kissed makeup needs to read beautifully in your photos.
With on-site accommodation for the bridal party, you can wake up, get ready and walk to your ceremony without leaving the property. We come to your room, so there is no salon run, no traffic and no watching the clock, just a slow, settled morning at the venue.
Open verandahs, valley breezes and warm afternoons are part of the magic here. We use long-wear, photography-friendly products and finish hair to hold through ceremony, sunset photos and dancing, so you feel fresh from the fig tree right through the night.

Do you come to The EarthHouse to do our hair and makeup? +
Yes. We are fully mobile and travel to you. We come to your boutique room on the property and set up there, so you can get ready in comfort with the valley view and never have to leave the venue.
How far is The EarthHouse from Byron Bay and the Gold Coast Airport? +
The EarthHouse is in Clunes in the Byron hinterland, around 25 minutes from Byron Bay and about 10 minutes from Bangalow. From Gold Coast Airport it is roughly 35 to 45 minutes by car. We factor our own travel into your morning so your timeline is never tight.
Can you do both hair and makeup for the whole bridal party? +
Yes. We are sisters who are both trained in hair and makeup, so the two of us can move through the bridal party efficiently. The EarthHouse rooms suit a bride plus around three to five for getting ready, and we will recommend a start time based on your numbers.
Will my makeup last through a long day in the hinterland? +
That is exactly what we plan for. Afternoons at The EarthHouse can be warm and the verandahs are open to the breeze, so we use long-wear, photography-friendly products and set everything to hold from your first photos under the fig tree through to the last dance.
Do you offer a trial before the wedding? +
We do, and we recommend one so we can perfect your soft, natural look together before the day. Trials are booked separately and we will talk through the look you want, your dress and the EarthHouse setting so everything feels right.
